Gambian rap star ST has demonstrated an extraordinary level of generosity towards his former manager, D Jobs, offering him a significant financial package, a vehicle, and full sponsorship for his master’s degree in business administration.
These gestures followed ST’s Nna La Duwa album concert, where reports surfaced that the artist had dashed his former manager a substantial sum of money and a car. Upon reaching out for confirmation, D Jobs not only verified receiving financial assistance but also disclosed previously unknown acts of support.
“He gave me an envelope that I can’t disclose but can confirm that he gave me a good amount that is so much appreciated,” D Jobs stated. He further revealed that ST has been assisting him financially for years, providing monthly allowances and helping him secure land in 2017.
Overwhelmed with emotion, D Jobs expressed his deepest gratitude, revealing that ST and his brother had also funded his Master’s degree. “I am in tears… My Master’s degree program has been sponsored by ST,” he said.
D Jobs reminisced about his early interactions with ST, recalling a pivotal moment in 2007 when the young rapper, then struggling with family opposition, considered quitting music. “I told him, ‘Ndoma, you will never leave music because I have a strong belief that you can change many lives, including your family’s, through music.’”
He described ST’s support as unprecedented, stating, “No artist has ever done for me what ST has.”
The revelation sheds light on ST’s influence beyond the music industry, reinforcing his reputation as not only a celebrated artist but also a benefactor committed to uplifting those around him.
